Bryan Alford Jr. is a dynamic and versatile entertainer with over 25 years of performance experience. Whether performing solo, as a duo, or with a full band, Bryan captivates audiences with his unique blend of smooth jazz, soca, and calypso rhythms. His infectious energy and musicality transform any event into an unforgettable party atmosphere.
A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Bryan honed his craft in the entertainment industry as the house performer for the Great Wolf Lodge Resorts of Kansas City, Kansas, where he entertained audiences for over a decade. His talent and charisma have since taken him to diverse venues across the United States, including universities, festivals, hotels, hospitals, convention centers, and more.
Bryan earned his Music Business degree from Missouri Western State University, where he was mentored by Dr. Dennis Rogers. It was there that his passion for steel drums was ignited, leading to a life-changing opportunity to study with Dr. Ellie Mannette, the inventor of the steel drum, at the 50th anniversary celebration of the instrument in West Virginia. This experience solidified Bryan's reputation as a leading authority on steel drums.
His musical journey continued with an invitation to join the acclaimed performing ensemble "Sticks of Thunder," where he quickly became a standout cast member. This role led to performances in iconic venues such as the MGM Grand Hotel and the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas.
Bryan's dedication to his craft extends beyond performance. As a successful entrepreneur, he founded Alford Music and Entertainment, where he combines his passion for teaching with his love of live performance. Currently, Bryan regularly performs with the Bryan Alford Band and continues to innovate within the industry.
One of his most exciting recent projects is the high-energy stage show, Destination Love, co-created and performed with his wife, Misha. The show blends drumming, world percussion, storytelling, and audience interaction with Caribbean rhythms and captivating vocals, making it a perfect fit for the cruise ship entertainment model and corporate convention scene alike. With a reputation for captivating audiences, inspiring fellow musicians, and continuously pushing the boundaries of his craft, Bryan Alford Jr. remains a powerful force in the world of music and entertainment.
